We at FGH, alongside countless individuals worldwide, pause to acknowledge the profound legacy of Pope Francis. His voice, a beacon of compassion, resonated deeply with the cries of the hungry and the marginalized.

Pope Francis consistently placed the plight of the poor and those suffering from food insecurity at the forefront of his ministry. He understood that hunger is not merely a statistic, but a human tragedy.

His unwavering advocacy for equitable food systems challenged the world to confront the moral scandal of food waste and unequal access to sustenance.

He championed the importance of family farming and agroecology, recognizing the crucial role of small-scale producers in global food security.

His calls for a "science with a conscience" urged us to employ technology and innovation in service of the poor, promoting sustainable and just food practices.

Pope Francis's legacy compels us to move beyond mere words and embrace concrete actions. He urged governments, international institutions, and individuals to prioritize the needs of those "at the end of the food chain."

His message was one of solidarity, demanding that we cultivate hope through collective action, working tirelessly to eradicate hunger and poverty.

His words, "The food we throw away is unjustly taken from the hands of those who lack it," serves as a constant reminder of the urgent need for change.

May his legacy inspire us to build a world where food security and human dignity are realities for all. We at FGH, will continue to work towards those goals, in honor of his life, and his teachings.
