FGH International Consulting: Championing Sustainable Agriculture and Empowering Small Farmers
Meet Peter Thiessen, our Project Manager leading the charge for a groundbreaking circular livestock project in Chihuahua's Mennonite community. This initiative, spearheaded by Johan Penner, will involve 200 small-scale farmers integrating their calf, maize, and forage production into a sustainable ecosystem.
A key highlight is the utilization of cotton waste, typically burned, to reduce feed costs by 20%. This incorporation of over 2 million pounds of this byproduct will not only enhance feed efficiency but also contribute to the production of 1 million pounds of premium-quality beef destined for Monterrey, Mexico.
Furthermore, the generated manure will be integrated into the region's apple orchards, the most significant in Mexico. This closed-loop approach not only promotes environmental sustainability but also aligns with ESG goals.
FGH International Agribusiness Consulting's commitment to sustainability and small farmer empowerment is evident in projects like these. We are grateful to our stakeholders who share our dedication to supporting small producers and environmental stewardship, creating a win-win situation for all.
